Text4baby is a free service that can help you give your baby the best possible start in life. Women who sign up will receive three, free SMS text messages each week, timed to their due date or the baby’s date of birth. Learn how sign up for text4baby.

Are you a pregnant woman or new mom? Do you know someone who is?

If so, text4baby can help keep you and your baby healthy! Text4baby is a free mobile information service that provides tips on what you need to know during pregnancy and the baby’s the first year.

To sign up, text BABY, or BEBE for Spanish, to 511411. It’s free to sign up and the messages are free. Women who sign up will receive three, free SMS text messages each week, timed to their due date or the baby’s date of birth. In these text messages are health tips and information on a lot of topics, such as birth defects prevention, immunizations, nutrition, mental health, oral health, and safe sleep. Text4baby messages also connect women to prenatal and infant care services and other resources.

Text4baby is an educational program of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition, but as an outreach partner through the Department of Health and Human Services, CDC wants to encourage pregnant women and new moms to take advantage of this free service. It’s a simple way to help pregnant women and new moms give their babies the best possible start in life.
