You can now monitor your body fat, and muscle mass, which according to research is more critical than how much you weigh: body fat is measured as a percentage of your weight. One needs to have body fat go down and muscle mass go up. A pear-shaped body is better than an apple-shaped body, as too much "belly fat" has been linked to disease, according to the Reader’s Digest.
