Fitness: Walking a Natural Picker-Upper!

When you are too tired to move, try going for a walk! It’s a natural picker-upper. Try only 5 to10 minutes, the idea is to start the habit.

A recent study asked one group of adults to walk 40 minutes/day and the other to walk 10 minutes, 4 times/day. At the end of the three months, the second group had lost more weight and attained better fitness. Why? Because although they didn’t always walk 40 minutes, they always walked at least 10 minutes, sometimes 20 or30. The first group often did no walking at all because they felt they didn’thave 40 minutes.

So every day, do a little walking–it’s a natural energizer!
